At Canadian Feed The Children, we believe that cha At Canadian Feed The Children, we believe that changing the future for children means giving them opportunities as they grow. Thanks to your support, we are able to partner with local communities to provide life-changing skills training to youth around the world. Jolene, from #Uganda (above), learned how to grow mushrooms at school, to support the school feeding program while earning income.

Today is National #IndigenousPeoplesDay in Canada, Today is National #IndigenousPeoplesDay in Canada, a day to honour the culture, heritage and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We're celebrating the ways Indigenous children and youth are connecting to their food traditions and heritage. 

For Loretta, mother of seven-year-old Malaika, getting involved in traditional food harvesting benefits her children and the whole community of Lubicon Lake Band. She says: "When we go hunting, we don’t just do it for ourselves, we give it out to those who need it most. Food sovereignty helps everybody.”
