P2F cyclists pedal from Toronto to Montreal to raise funds for kids

Since 2008, the Canadian Electrical Industry has worked alongside Canadian Feed The Children helping to raise funds from their member companies to reduce the impact of poverty on children. The campaign formerly known as Hungry for Change started a movement in the industry which to date has raised $1.1 million dollars for life-saving children’s nutrition around the world and in Canada.

Rebranded as Power2Feed in 2013, the campaign was endorsed as a charity of choice by Electro-Federation Canada. Today, Power2Feed continues to ignite tremendous team spirit and provide tons of fun across the sector, and in late summer 2014, four intrepid cyclists caught the Power2Feed spirit.

Brian Power, George Balla, Tim Horsman, and Tere McDonald pedalled from Toronto to Montreal raising awareness and funds for CFTC and the children we support at each kilometre for a total of close to $40,000.

Debra Kerby, President & CEO of CFTC, showed her appreciation in this video created by Electrical Business magazine.
