This October, Canadian Feed The Children, The Coalition for Healthy School Food, Farm to Cafeteria Canada, and the University of Saskatchewan are proud to present the first Indigenous School Food Series. Through a combination of events, the series brings individuals together to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration on various Indigenous School Food topics.
The Indigenous School Food Series was inspired by the incredible work happening on a daily basis in Indigenous schools and communities. By bringing this work to the forefront, we hope to inspire further action and stories of success.

October 12 - Serving Traditional Indigenous Food in Schools Webinar
The Indigenous School Food Circle is hosting a webinar on how school food programs are serving traditional Indigenous foods. Our speakers will share how they’ve brought traditional foods into schools, how they’ve been able to incorporate traditional game and seafood, and any tips that they would offer to other school communities who want to bring traditional foods into their school food programs. This event will take the format of a 1.5 hour facilitated conversation among the panelists followed by time for questions from participants and discussion. The conversation will be recorded and publicly shared afterwards. Register here.
