It’s back to school time for many children around the world. In one region of Ethiopia, 1,580 children in 10 primary schools are heading back to class – but for a while, their parents weren’t sure this would be possible. A nearby conflict created challenges for local families and schools.

How can we respond to rising hunger?
In July, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) released its annual State of Food Insecurity and Nutrition Report, or SOFI for short. It’s clear from the report that hunger is rising sharply, affecting families everywhere in different ways. They also recommend ways that we can respond to support the world’s most food insecure families.
