There’s been a lot in the news this year about food crises and famine in East Africa. Uganda, home to so many of the families and communities we work with, is one of the countries that has been badly affected. They are dealing with the effects of drought and subsequent crop failures and need support at this time. Please read on to learn more.

Uganda is facing the worst drought in nearly a century due to climate change.

In some areas, more than 40% of maize crops have been destroyed due to an armyworm invasion.

Over 11 million people are facing food shortages. Many of them are children.

1.6 million people - including children - are on the verge of famine.
