You’ve helped mothers feed their children
Awine’s mother could never grow enough food to feed her four children. She often went hungry so her children could eat. But your generous and ongoing support made all the difference.
Awine’s mother was given drought-resistant, high yielding seeds to plant on her farm. She was taught how to grow more food in dry conditions. The next harvest season, Awine’s mother harvested five extra bags worth of maize! Enough to feed her family for the whole year.
YOU have helped ensure more families had enough to eat. Thank you!
Yet even now there are children just like Awine who need your help.
Your generous support has:
- trained mothers how to grow more food
- provided drought-resistant seeds
- lifted children out of poverty
This year, as the fall season begins, we are thinking of the many women and children we work with in northern Ghana. Too often, for them, the harvest season is a time of fear and sadness. You see, farming in Ghana this year has not been easy. Many mothers struggled to grow enough food to feed their children.
Without you, children like three-year-old Awine will go hungry.
The harvest time can be difficult if families cannot grow enough food. But you can make all the difference.
